Smoke Ventilation
The emphasis of a smoke ventilation system
is to provide protection of life and property. Its aim is to release
heat and smoke from a building under fire conditions. It ensures
hot gases are constantly removed under a high concentration of
smoke and heat conditions. By using the correct size and number
of ventilators and operable windows at vital positions within the
building, occupants will have more time to escape and fire fighters
are allowed to enter the building and quickly locate and distinguish
the source.
