August 2009   Sports Day On 7 August 2009, UURG has organized our first Sports Day in Shenzhen. Through active participation and several rounds of exciting badminton and ping pong matches, an ideal fun day away from office is resulted. Team building in a sports environment encourages fun, interaction and bonding, and allows for maximum participation by all involved. Nevertheless, it is not only a perfect outdoor team building activity, but also a perfect opportunity for the newly joined staff to mix and mingle into our UURG family.         March 2009   Ecobuild 2009 Our management team has attended this year's Ecobuild on 3-5 March 2009 in Earls Court, London. Ecobuild is one of the world's biggest events dedicated to sustainable design, construction and the built environment. In its fifth year and with 800 exhibitors, Ecobuild presents the biggest and best showcase of sustainable construction products anywhere, plus dozens of inspiring attractions and more than 100 free conference and seminar sessions.       Sole Distributorship Agreement signed with SE Controls In early March, our management team has paid a visit to our UK partner, SE Controls, a leading manufacturer of innovative control systems in UK with over 25 years of experience in smoke and natural ventilation systems. UURG is pleased to announce a sole distributorship agreement was signed with SE Controls, UURG will act as its distributor for the distribution, resale and support of its products in the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Our fast growing partnership base calls for a bigger operational base for the Group and our management envisioned that this collaboration will bring long-term benefits to the Group.         February 2009   New Name New Milestone Subsequent to the change in shareholding of the controlling shareholder of the Company and embracing the green business opportunities, the Board decided to change the registered name of the Company from "Global Solution Engineering Limited" to "UURG Corporation Limited" and adopt "" as the Company's new Chinese name for identification purpose. "UURG" means "Utilizing the Unlimited Renewable enerGies" which further signifies the Group's diversification and expansion of business in providing green and intelligent building solutions and sustainable design consultancy and professional services. The Board is pleased to announce that the special resolution for the change of name of the Company was duly passed by the Shareholders by way of poll at the Special General Meeting held on 2 February 2009. UURG Corporation Limited will be officially moved into our newly renovated office in Lippo Centre in February 2009 and our official website will be changed to www.uurg.com with immediate effect.     December 2008     China-Hong Kong Symposium on Green Buildings Our management team was invited to attend the one and half day symposium "China-Hong Kong Symposium on Green Buildings" on 22-23 December 2008 organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development of the People's Republic of China (MOHURD), China Green Building Council (CGBC) and the Faculty of Architecture, Hong Kong University with Hong Kong Housing Department as a co-organizer. Speakers comprised top experts from Mainland China and Hong Kong for an exchange in academic as well as profession knowledge.       November 2008   The Hong Kong Institute of Architects Conference and Annual Ball 2008 Our management team was invited to attend The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) Annual Ball 2008, held at the Conrad Hotel Hong Kong on 22 November 2008, with experts on green building and renowned architects from around the world calling for action on sustainability and developing quality green metropolis. For years, global warming has become one of the biggest challenges to governments around the world. And it is expressed in this year's Policy Address that developing Hong Kong into a quality Green Metropolis is one of the goals and new direction of the government. HKIA has never stopped dedicating to contribute to the better development and design of this great worldwide metropolis. Our management team shares the same belief that by upholding our ethics and promotion of sustainable design and procurement of buildings, a Green Metropolis of Hong Kong would only be steps away.
